Mr. Berat Rukiqi, was born on 28 January 1983, in Prishtina. He has finished his studies on the Faculty of Economy, concentrating in Bank, Finance and Accounting in the University of Prishtina, in 2001-2005 period of time.
During 2005 – 2006 he finished his studies in Master (gained the scholarship by European Commission and the Government of Kosova) in Brussels European University College -EHSAL where he worked and finished his thesis of Master studies “Opportunities for Kosova in Common Market and in instruments for enlargement process of European Union”.
After the Master studies he finished a program of professional practice in the European Parliament where he followed the work of different committees: Committee for foreign policy, Committee for budget and Committee for Trade Policies.
During the period May 2004 – September 2005, Mr. Rukiqi was engaged in the Office of Prime Minister, respectively in the Office of Stability Pact with a role of executive assistant of the Coordinator of the Stability Pact with a special engagement in the fields of regional economic cooperation and liberalization of trade in region.
From January 2007 Mr. Rukiqi worked as a coordinator in the Office of European Integration and managed projects financed by different donators: EAR and USAID, and was also as a regular member of the Consultative Council for Small and Medium Enterprises established by the Government of Kosova and the Group for Trade Policies which was coordinated by the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the UNMIK pillar IV. Furthermore Mr. Rukiqi has a wealth international experience by being a regular member of Economic Forum of Brussels and other conferences organized by the Institutions of European Union.
