Press conference about activities of KCC

KCC informed media about activities that KCC realized in last six months.

President of Kosova Chamber of Commerce Mr. Besim Beqaj in his letter sent to the Minister of Labor and Social Welfare Zt.Nenad Rasic shows the real reason that  Kosova Chamber of Commerce is  not participating in meetings of Economic-Social Council (KES), moreover in the letter addressed to Mr.Rasic it is said:
Kosova Chamber of Commerce since 2007 has been constantly committed to advance the social dialogue in Kosova, demanding the establishment of Social Economic Council in harmony with European standards.
In accordance with our proposals and BSPK, the Government has adopted decision 09 \ 57 to establish the Economic-Social Council, and conform criteria set for this decision we have applied with a voluminous documentation which shows in detail the power that Kosova Chamber of Commerce represents as the largest employer with over 15.000 members and 30 associations of the most important branches of economy.

Your decision for dividing the seats in KES has followed after completing the application procedures for KES, whereby you violate the decision of the Government and criteria set by this decision, by putting in the same level the representative power of KCC, an organization established by law by the Kosovo Assembly, with a non-governmental organization which has a symbolic number of its members and which has not any association of branches of the economy within its organizational framework.
After all this process we decided not to take part and cooperate with -KES.
Moreover, considering the fact that you and your staff are spreading rumors in public opinion labeling us as boycotters, monopolists and as an unimportant organization, we want to clarify that:
KCC is not boycotting, but is asking for respect for legality that you did not respect.

Based on all our arguments and opinions presented in this motion, once again we kindly ask you to treat seriously the process of establishment of KES and respect the criteria and Law. On the contrary KCC will continue not to take part in KES, since we do not want to become part of the violation of law and decisions of state institutions.
