Meeting of the Steering Council of KCC
The first meeting of the Steering Council of KCC was held in the new composition which has 27 members, led by the President of Kosova Chamber of Commerce Mr. Beqaj, Vice President Mr. Gërxhaliu and Secretary General Mr. Rukiqi, in the agenda for this meeting were:
1. Procedural aspects of work and functioning of the Steering Council;
2. Information for KCC activities in last 3 months;
3. The financial plan for 2010;
4. KCC objectives for 2010;
5. KCC restructuring;
6. Discussion about economic trends in Kosovo;
7. Other
Through the regulation of work of the Steering Council this regulation regulates the entire work and management proceedings of the council's budget. The preparation process of assembly responsibilities, functionality, making decisions in the Steering Council, how to proceed, which are possible ways, who has the right to convene a meeting and rational procedures.
From this meeting was concluded:
Steering Council of Kosovo Chamber of Commerce has approved the following proposals and requirements through which is going to address the Kosovo institutions:
1. Proposed that coffee products to be released from excise in terms with the actions of the region and the previous promises of Prime Minister,
2. Full compliance is required of legal acts and laws on import procedures for products of plant and animal origin by respecting the existing licenses and legal requirements for certificates of origin and sanitary and phytosanitary certificates especially in relation to products originating from Serbia.
3. Administrative guidelines should be in full harmony with the highest legal acts.
4. Legal basis should be amended in line with investment proposals of Kosova Chamber of Commerce.
5. The issue of CEFTA should be considered seriously through increasing diplomatic activities in terms of ensuring full representation of Kosovo in CEFTA structures especially taking into account that in 2011 Kosovo will be leading the CEFTA, at the same time should be strengthened institutional activities about CEFTA implementation within the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
6. Proposals and the requirements of KCC must be reviewed in connection with the establishment of the Economic-Social Council which is in harmony with the Government decision to establish KES by respecting the criteria and legal basis.
We believe strongly that the Government will be ready to address these issues by strengthening partnerships with the business community.
