Athens, 18 February- Hundreds of state sector employees in Greece continued for a second day in Athens protests against the new measures against to the financial crisis.
Customs officers in Athens yesterday began a 3-day strike. Employees of other state sector have planned shorter rallies.
Employees are protesting against the lowering of wages and the establishment of new taxes in the context of broader government initiatives aiming to stem the economic problems.
The Ministers of Finance of 16 countries which uses Euro currency have expressed their concern that Greece's economic problems will significantly reduce the value of the euro.
Yesterday, these ministers warned Athens to reduce the deficit to 8.7 percent this year. They also said that Greece need to take new measures to reduce spending by mid-March, if the current reforms do not sufficiently reduce the deficit.
