Spain wants the wind energy

Prime Minister Berisha received yesterday at a meeting the president of the prestigious Spanish company in the energy field, "Iberdrola", accompanied by the Ambassador of Spain in Albania, Manuel Montobio.

The company "Iberdrola" is the fourth largest in the world, the first in the field of renewable energy and wind, present in many countries around the world.

During the meeting, the president of company "Iberdrola" expressed to Prime Minister Berisha his high considerations for a successful collaboration to this date, and expressed his conviction and his willingness to be present in Albania and through it in Balkans as well, following through serious projects.

On his part, Prime Minister Berisha thanked the company for its presence in Albania, among other important projects for the city's electricity network, Fier and invited them for a future cooperation in other fields in the energy sector.

Prime Minister Berisha informed the president of the company "Iberdrola" with numerous opportunities that Albania offers in the field of public private partnerships, concession agreements for 440 small hydropower stations, the platforms for the production of energy from wind and measures organic or the cascades of the river Vjosa , being a more attractive place for foreign investment.
