EU presents the 2020 Strategy for economic growth

Brussels, March 4 - With a decade-strategy EU Commission aims to boost economic growth and create new jobs in Europe.

The President of the Commision, José Manuel Barroso, presented in Brussels the so-called "The 2020 Strategy". He expects through it to have an increase of at least 2%.

Package contains concrete targets for economic growth in the member countries, as well as financial aid for financially weaker members.

Heads of governments of EU countries will discuss the new strategy in their next summit in late March.
