After a meeting with the British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, the German Chancellor said that both countries totally agree on this issue.
"I'm glad that the UK also has the same objective for such a move.
We agreed that such a coordination to achieve within the EU. After that, as Europeans in the G20 summit, i think that together with Americans we will see it as a new move, which ensures that the banks that will enter into crisis in the future they will not burden on taxpayers, but they will go through with the consequences of their own risk.
The aim is that such a contribution of banks to be coordinated within the EU. Merkel said that by the next summit of the EU a common position has to be reached.
After this the Europeans might try to enter all the over the world the participation of the banks in the consequences of the crisis.
