Economic increase in Albania of 5.5%

The experts of the Ministry of Finance predict economic growth 5.5% in May 2010. Percentage calculations carried out on the results of the first fifth months and they were higher than it INSTAT result, according to which in the first quarter had increased by 2% versus the first quarter of 2009, as compared with the fourth quarter of 2009 rose by 1.8%.

 

Ministry publishes these results with 5.5% growth at a time when there is a decrease of income and expenditure. Although considered a prediction on operational data, the figure in question is deemed high given the international relations and economic indicators.

 

So at the end of fifth months of 2010, total revenues reached 125.7 billion or about 8% less than forecast and 4.4% more than the same period last year. Tax revenues at the end of this fifth month totaled 113.5 billion or 10.9% less than forecast and compared with the same period last year were about 3.5% higher. Economic growth, says INSTAT in the first quarter of the year, branches that have higher growth were industry, transport and trade, respectively 27.5%, 11.4% and 4.8% compared with the first quarter of 2009. Branch was presented with a decline in this period compared to the same quarter a year earlier construction was 21.1%.
