Minister Ferati visited Kosova Chamber of Commerce

PRISHTINA, September 2, 2010. – Minister of Government Administration, Sadri Ferati visited KCC and during his meeting with president, Safet Gërxhaliu stressed the importance of commitment of local government in order to create a better climate for businesses.

The president of the Chamber, Safet Gërxhaliu said that with minister was discussed firstly the cooperation opportunities.

"We discussed for the possibilities for functioning of regional chambers as the first cell of decentralization of economy which is a condition of politic decentralization and it has a big importance, such as support of existing businesses in Kosova also to promote the foreign direct investments. Another field that we thing to cooperate is the trainings field in order to increase capacities.

Minister Ferati said that municipalities are the competent bodies for the economic development.

He said that it was an important meeting where both parts agreed to create groups of professionals who will made specific analysis in order than the municipalities could continue with this model, because as the minister said economic development is priority of Kosovar society, municipalities and all citizens.
